Write-A-Check Campaign Underway
PTO’s annual Write-A-Check campaign is underway with a $12,000 goal!
The Write-A-Check campaign is the primary way PTO raises money to support Mockingbird. Your generous contribution provides technology, programs, and fun activities for our learners. Best of all 100% of your gift goes directly to benefit our students.
Your child should have brought a Write-A-Check packet home Monday. Please sign and return the form. We are having a contest to see which class will be the first to return all of their forms. In addition, completed forms will be entered into a drawing each Friday for treats and prizes. The classroom with the most highest amount of donations will get $500 to spend in the classroom this year! If we reach our $12,000 goal, Mrs. Flynn will be slimed!
Gifts can also be made on-line. Click here to make your donation. (Be sure to login to donate online.)
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Every gift counts!
MKB Food Drive for Metrocrest Services Nov. 6 - 15th
Mockingbird Elementary will be holding a food drive beginning November 6th through November 15th to help support the programs of Metrocrest Services. This is an excellent chance to make a difference in the lives of many individuals, families, and senior adults from our community and surrounding area. Other than making a significant impact on our community, this helps children learn compassion and generosity. The Mockingbird Student Council is challenging each room to bring in 100 items. If we reach this goal, we will be able to donate at least 2,300 items to the Metrocrest Pantry.

CHS Women's Show Choir Presents Respira Nov. 8 & 9
The Coppell High School Women’s Show Choir, Respira will be performing their annual song and dance on November 8th and 9th @ 7pm in the CHS Auditorium. This show choir is made up of female choir students selected by a competitive audition process. Directed by Bona Coogle and Aaron Coronado and Choreographed by Whitney Bollinger, this year’s theme is all about empowering women. The girls will be performing to songs written, or sung by women, and meant to inspire one another. Bollinger said, “Our Dessert Show is a fun night for everyone. This show is a great way to come and see that the choir department in Coppell is so much more than choral singing. That is such an important part of the program, and helps the kids in all aspects of life; but this show really puts all the different talents of these students in choir on display.” This is a show you won’t want to miss. Tickets can be purchased in advance at coppellchoir.com/tickets or at the door for $10 or $5 with a student ID.
