CISD Seeks Input for Upcoming Boundary Realignment
The deadline to complete CISD Boundary Realignment Community Input Questionnaire is Oct. 12. Please visit https://goo.gl/wL68NA to share your top priorities for the District’s upcoming Boundary Realignment process and provide any additional feedback that should be considered by the Board of Trustees.
Background: CISD is undergoing Boundary Realignment for the first time in five years to accommodate growth in the southern area of the District and balance enrollment in all elementary and middle schools. The timing of Boundary Realignment to be in place for the 2019-20 school year aligns with the opening of the District’s 11th elementary school, which currently is under construction in Irving and will open in fall 2019. While the City of Coppell is just over 14 square miles, CISD encompasses more than 23 square miles. Within CISD boundaries, 63 % percent of the district is comprised of the City of Coppell, 33 % percent the City of Irving, 3 % the City of Lewisville and 1 % the City of Dallas. Those who live within Coppell ISD boundaries, no matter the community, pay the same CISD tax rate. For more information on Boundary Realignment, visit www.coppellisd.com/realignment.
